On Golden Pond
On Golden Pond is a two-year-old still finding its feet on the racetrack. The horse has run twice without a win or a place finish, most recently five days ago when it finished fifth, and before that fourth. With such early form, there is little to suggest where this young horse is headed — early races at this age are often about learning the craft rather than winning, and two outings tells you almost nothing about a horse's future prospects.Based on TrackLab's analysis

Our model's view, based on this horse's career and recent runs
The horse is trained by Tony Coyle and Kaine Wood at their Norton yard in North Yorkshire, a stable that has already sent out twelve winners this season, so at least On Golden Pond is in a yard with genuine winning form. For a two-year-old still in its racing infancy, there is time for things to click, but right now this is a horse with no victories to its name and precious little to hang a story on.
