The first win came at Roscommon in May 2025, but it was what followed that really caught the eye. On 30 July 2025, Omni Man won a Class 2 race at Goodwood — one of the top races in Britain, at one of the sport's most celebrated and picturesque tracks. Winning at that level, at a venue like Goodwood, is a genuine statement. Not every horse gets the chance; fewer still take it.
The distance sweet spot seems to be somewhere between a mile and three furlongs and a mile and four furlongs, where Omni Man has won two of five races — a 40% win rate in that range. That is a striking number: winning two in every five races at a specific trip suggests the horse is genuinely well-suited there, not just stumbling into form. Add in a strong preference for normal ground conditions — two wins from three races on a standard surface, 67% — and you have a horse that, given the right conditions, becomes a serious proposition.
Behind the scenes, Omni Man is trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien at Owning Hill in County Kilkenny. O'Brien's yard has sent out 154 winners this season alone, which puts it among the most productive operations in Irish racing. Having a horse trained there is a bit like having a car serviced by the best mechanic in the county — the infrastructure and expertise around the horse are about as good as it gets.
Recent form reads 9-3-1-5-1-2, which tells an interesting story: two wins in the last six races, sandwiched around a couple of quieter runs. The horse raced just one day ago, so the team are clearly keeping Omni Man busy and in good order. With a Goodwood Class 2 already on the CV and a trainer firing on all cylinders, there is every reason to think the best is still ahead.
