Old Joanie
Old Joanie is still learning her trade. The two-year-old has contested four races so far and has yet to find the winner's enclosure, though she did manage a placed finish — a third position — in one of those outings. Her recent form reads 3-5-8-7, which shows inconsistency: a respectable third, then fifth, then eighth, and most recently seventh just a day ago. At this early stage of her career, with only four races under her belt, there is plainly a lot of work still to do.Based on TrackLab's analysis

Our model's view, based on this horse's career and recent runs
She is trained by James M Barrett at Goresbridge in County Kilkenny, a yard that has sent out 2 winners this season. For a young horse still finding her feet, steady progress and the right races matter more than immediate success. Old Joanie remains in active training and racing, which suggests her the yard believe there is potential to develop. Whether she will break through for that maiden win in the coming weeks and months remains to be seen, but the hope is that racing experience will sharpen her up.
