Old Comrades

Trained by N. W. Alexander at Leslie in Fife, Old Comrades runs in Class 4 company—the bottom rung of the racing ladder in terms of grade—yet has managed no wins from three attempts at that level. The yard itself is having a respectable season with 19 winners to its name, so the horse is part of a functioning operation, but so far it has not delivered results. At six years old, Old Comrades is in the later stages of a horse's racing career, and without a victory yet to its name, time may be running out. Whether this is simply a horse that enjoys racing without ever quite having the pace to win, or whether conditions or circumstances might yet turn things around, only future runs will tell.
