Ochtar Againn

The bright spot in the record is that Ochtar Againn does know how to run close. Two placed finishes across those eleven attempts show the horse has the ability to be competitive, even if the final step to the line has eluded it. Recent form has been mixed: a fourth, then a seventh, then a sixteenth, a second-place finish, a thirteenth, and most recently that seventh. That second-place from a few runs back is a reminder that this horse is capable of threatening the winner, and there is still time at three years old to turn potential into actual success. Trained by M J Byrne at Cahir in County Tipperary, Ochtar Againn remains a work in progress—active, still racing, and still looking for the breakthrough moment.
