O'Driscoll is a three-year-old with three races under its belt and nothing to show for them yet. The horse has finished fourth, seventh, and eighth in its last three outings, most recently a week ago, and remains in active training with
James Horton at Newmarket. Horton's yard has been in good form this season with 20 winners already, so the infrastructure and expertise are there—O'Driscoll simply hasn't found the winning formula yet. At this early stage of a racing career, particularly for a young horse still learning the ropes, a run of races without a win or a place is not unusual. Many horses take time to settle, understand what's being asked of them, and hit their stride. Whether O'Driscoll improves from here will depend on how the horse develops over the coming months and what adjustments Horton makes to bring out its best.
