North Coates

The recent form reads 2-5-7-6-5, and with that last race coming just a day ago, North Coates is clearly being given plenty of racing to build experience. That is often the approach with younger horses — they need to learn what racing is all about, feel the competition, and find their feet in real races rather than sitting idle. The Easterby yard, which is sending out winners at a healthy clip this season with 55 victories already under its belt, will have a plan for this horse. They are not the kind of operation to run something repeatedly without purpose, so there is likely a race or a type of race they think North Coates will eventually suit. For now, though, it remains a work in progress.
