That narrow win rate at its typical standard suggests the horse operates best against even lesser-graded rivals, or perhaps on particular types of track or ground. The first career win came at Ludlow back in November 2025, proof that once the horse clicked into gear, a breakthrough was always possible. James Owen's Newmarket yard has been prolific this season with 205 winners, and Brendan Powell has ridden No More Bolero five times without a win — a partnership that has not yet found a winning formula. Whether a change of tactics or a fresh jockey could spark something more remains to be seen. For now, No More Bolero is an honest, mid-tier performer doing what it does: racing hard and occasionally rewarding punters who catch it on the right day.
