Night Shining

What is worth noting is where Night Shining is trained. George Boughey's Newmarket yard has sent out 105 winners this season alone — that is a serious operation, and horses that come through it tend to be given the time and the platform to develop properly. Being part of a team producing that volume of winners means the support, the expertise, and the opportunities are all there if Night Shining can find some form.

At three, racehorses are still growing into themselves, and two runs is genuinely a very small sample. Whether the step forward comes next time out — which could be very soon, given Night Shining raced just yesterday — remains to be seen. For now, this is a horse to watch rather than to write off.
