Trained by A Watson at Upper Lambourn, Niewiadoma is part of a yard in fine form this season, having already sent out 62 winners. Watson's team clearly knows how to get horses winning, which offers some encouragement for future prospects. The most recent outing came just yesterday, and despite another blank, the fact that Niewiadoma is still racing and competing suggests the trainer sees potential worth pursuing. A two-year-old at this stage of the season is still very much learning the ropes, and a debut winner early in the year—even one followed by a lean spell—is not uncommon. Whether Niewiadoma can rediscover the form that brought that Thirsk success, or find a race suited to its ability, remains to be seen. For now, it is a horse very much in transition, needing to break a five-month losing streak to prove it belongs at a competitive level.
