New York Minute

Trained by Joey Ramsden at Newark in Nottinghamshire, New York Minute has found his niche on normal ground, where he wins about one in every three races—a remarkable split compared to his overall form. He also prefers long-distance races of two miles or more, winning two of his seven attempts at that trip. The combination of these two factors points to a horse that suits a particular set of circumstances, and Ramsden's team clearly understand what gets the best from him. His last win came at Southwell on 20 November 2025, where he has won two of his six races there—solid evidence that the track suits him. At Class 5 level, where he typically competes, he has won two from six races, again showing that he can hold his own in that grade when conditions align.

Hector Crouch has been his regular rider, winning twice from 11 races together, much the same win rate as the horse achieves overall. Ten months is a long time between victories for any racehorse, and New York Minute will need conditions to break his way again soon if he is to rediscover the form that got him onto the winners' list.
