Nevermindestranger

What keeps things faintly interesting is that a fourth place suggests the horse can occasionally get involved, even if converting that into a win has proven stubbornly out of reach. At nine years old, with no wins on the board, the honest conclusion is that Nevermindestranger is simply finding its level — competing without quite being able to beat the horses in front of it.

Regular rider Alex Harvey has had five chances aboard and is yet to find the winner's enclosure either, which tells its own story. The partnership has produced nothing in terms of wins, and with the horse having raced just yesterday and still active, the yard — the team around the horse — clearly retain some faith. Whether that faith is rewarded remains to be seen, but the record suggests patience will need to be considerable.
