Dundalk is an all-weather track in Ireland that races year-round, and it is a venue where certain horses find the conditions suit them perfectly. Whether Mythical Rock simply clicked on the night or found a weak enough contest to exploit, the win was real — and recent form suggests it may not be a one-off. Its last six races read 1-7-6-2-10-2 in reverse order, meaning it has just won, and prior to that had put in two placed efforts. That is a horse finding its feet again rather than fading away.
