My Girl Jersie
My Girl Jersie is a three-year-old working through her education at
Paul W Flynn's yard in Co Longford, which has sent out 22 winners already this season. The horse has yet to find her way into the frame across five outings, finishing out of the placings each time — most recently 13th, then 16th, then a pair of ninth-place finishes before that, with a ninth also earlier in the sequence. She was out again just a day ago, suggesting the trainer is keen to keep her sharp and racing.

Our model's view, based on this horse's career and recent runs
With no wins or places from five attempts, My Girl Jersie is still searching for her moment. That said, she is clearly a horse in work at a yard that knows how to produce winners, and the recent pattern of finishing closer to the action — two nines in quick succession — hints that she may be beginning to settle into the swing of racing. At three years old, she has time on her side, and horses can take a long time to click into place.
