The bare numbers tell one story: 3 wins from 33 races, which works out at roughly 1 in every 11. But numbers like that can be misleading. Rowley herself says he has never run a bad race, and watching his recent form bears that out — in his last six runs he has finished fourth, fourth, second, first, and third, with one non-finish. He is not a horse who disappears from a race. He competes. Every single time.

What he genuinely loves is wet or muddy ground. On soft or heavy going, he has won 2 of his 10 races — that is a 20% win rate, more than double his overall figure, and a meaningful difference for a horse at this stage of his career. His last win came at Hereford in February 2026, four months ago, and by all accounts it was a performance that had the owners on their feet. "He ran an absolute blinder," Rowley said afterwards. The win at Aintree that started it all back in December 2021 has since become a running theme — he has won there three times in total, which for any horse at any track is worth paying attention to.

The honest challenge now is finding the right races. At Class 2 level — among the better races in the calendar — he has not yet managed a win from 12 attempts. The team know it, and Rowley has spoken openly about how hard it is becoming to place him where he can be truly competitive. His most regular rider, Alex Edwards, has won on him twice from 16 rides together, a win rate of around 1 in 8, and that partnership clearly works. With Rowley's yard having sent out 12 winners already this season, there is plenty of confidence in the camp. The question is simply finding the right day, the right ground, and the right race — and this horse has shown enough times that when those things align, he delivers.
