Mr Perth

His last six races tell a slightly frustrating story. He finished second once, then third twice, before two gaps in the record and another third-place finish most recently. That third at his last outing was just yesterday, which means he's getting plenty of racing and regular chances to break through. His trainer, M C Grassick, runs the yard at the Curragh in Ireland and has sent out six winners already this season, so there's clear form in the stable. Mr Perth hasn't quite joined that winning list yet, but with two placings already under his belt from just six races, he's clearly running well enough to be competitive. It's early in a three-year-old's career, and the pattern of recent thirds suggests he's picking up the pace rather than dropping away. A breakthrough win shouldn't be far off.
