Mr Devlin
Mr Devlin is a five-year-old who has yet to find the winning post. In eight races so far, the horse has managed eight losses, never finishing in the top two and never collecting a prize. His trainer, Conor David Maxwell, based near Dublin in Co. Meath, runs a modest operation that has sent out seven winners this season — so the yard clearly knows how to produce results, but Mr Devlin has not been one of them.Based on TrackLab's analysis

Our model's view, based on this horse's career and recent runs
The recent form makes for grim reading: fifth, twelfth, thirteenth, eighth, tenth, and fifth again across his last six outings. There is no clear upward trajectory here, no suggestion that a breakthrough is coming. At five years old, Mr Devlin is now in the phase of his career where patience wears thin. Horses who have not won by this age, and who show no real improvement in their finishing positions, often find themselves running in small races against older, more experienced rivals. It is not an easy path back to the winner's enclosure. The horse raced just yesterday, so Maxwell is keeping him active, searching for the right opportunity. Whether one arrives remains to be seen.
