Mostaan
Four races, zero wins, zero places — Mostaan hasn't managed to get into the frame yet, finishing fifth or ninth in each of its four outings so far. For a three-year-old still finding its feet, that record tells a story of a horse that hasn't quite clicked yet, though it is still very much in active training and raced just yesterday.Based on TrackLab's analysis

Our model's view, based on this horse's career and recent runs
What keeps things interesting is the yard behind it. Trainer Owen Burrows operates out of Lambourn, one of Britain's most respected racing bases, and has sent out 32 winners already this season — a healthy total that speaks to a stable in good form. When a yard is producing at that level, it's reasonable to expect that horses in the string are being placed with care and given time to develop. Mostaan may simply be one of those projects that needs more racing before the penny drops.
At this stage, Mostaan is a work in progress. Three-year-olds can improve sharply once they settle into a routine, and a blank record after four races is far from unusual at this age. The next few months will tell us a great deal more.
