His first career win came at Plumpton on 23 February 2026, and less than two weeks later he followed it up with a Class 2 victory at Sandown Park on 7 March — one of the better races in Britain outside the very top tier. Back-to-back wins is impressive enough on its own; doing it across two different tracks, and stepping up in class to land a Class 2 at the second attempt, suggests this is not a horse flattered by a soft opportunity. Sandown's far-side straight is a proper test, and Mondo Man passed it.

The distance question is worth paying attention to. Over 1 mile 6 furlongs to 2 miles, he has won 2 of just 5 races — a 40% win rate. That is an exceptional conversion rate and tells you his trainer has found the trip that suits him. Trainers Gary and Josh Moore, based in West Sussex, have been in excellent form this season — 94 winners from their yard is a high-volume, high-quality operation, and the fact that they have pointed Mondo Man at a Class 2 and won suggests they know exactly what they have.

Jockey Caoilin Quinn has been on board for all six of Mondo Man's recent races, winning 2 of them — that is 1 in every 3 rides together, which is a strong partnership by any measure. Continuity of jockey matters in racing; it means Quinn knows this horse's quirks and how to get the best from him.

The one caveat is that Mondo Man is 0 from 5 at Class 1 level — the very top races in Britain — so there is still a ceiling to find. But three weeks on from his Sandown win, and with form figures reading 1-1 at the sharp end, he is very much a horse to keep on your side right now.
