Flynn trains out of Colehill in County Longford, and it would be wrong to judge the whole yard by this one horse. With 22 winners on the board already this season, Flynn is clearly getting plenty right. Monamie, though, has not been part of that story yet — finishing 10th, then 7th, then 12th suggests a horse still finding its feet, or perhaps simply needing the right opportunity to click.
At this stage, Monamie is a work in progress. Three races is still a small sample, and three-year-olds can take time to develop and find their confidence. Whether the right race, the right ground, or simply a bit more maturity is the missing ingredient, only time will tell.
