Her record reads one win and two places from four races — that's a 25% win rate, or one win from every four outings — which is a solid foundation for a horse still finding her feet. Her recent form figures of 24-5-1-3 tell an interesting story: she hasn't always threatened at the front end, but when she clicked at Leopardstown on 15 April 2026 she got the job done on debut, which is far from easy. Plenty of young horses take several races just to figure out what's being asked of them, so winning first time out is always a promising sign.
Joseph Patrick O'Brien trains her from his yard at Owning Hill in County Kilkenny, and the operation is in serious form this season — 171 winners and counting. That kind of firepower means O'Brien has plenty of horses to compare her against, and the fact he was enthusiastic after her Leopardstown win is worth noting. He was happy with how she went, but also spotted that she still looked a little inexperienced and raw. His plan was to give her a relatively straightforward next assignment — a race at Killarney reserved for horses that have already won — before stepping her up into stakes company, which is where the better 3-year-old horses compete. That's a patient, sensible route for a horse with potential.
She raced just yesterday, so there will be fresh form to digest very soon. A horse that wins on debut, is trained by one of Ireland's leading yards, and is being plotted towards stakes races is one to follow. Mixed Feelings is only just getting started.
