Misterous Flechois is a 4-year-old still seeking his first breakthrough in the saddle. With two races under his belt and nothing to show for either outing, the horse finished 14th most recently, a week after managing 11th place.
Ian Patrick Donoghue's yard at Clonalvy, County Meath, is no stranger to winners — the trainer has sent out 29 of them already this season — but Misterous Flechois has yet to repay that expertise with even a top-three finish. The horse is still active and racing regularly, which suggests the yard believes there is something to work with here, even if the racecourse hasn't seen it yet. Time will tell whether he can turn things around and join his trainer's roster of success stories.
