Her career got going relatively late, with her first win coming at Limerick in May 2024. Since then she has sharpened up considerably. In her last six races she has won twice — most recently at Leopardstown in March 2026 — and has only had one really poor run in that sequence. Leopardstown is one of Ireland's most prestigious venues, so winning there carries real weight. The fact that she did it just four months ago, and raced again as recently as yesterday, suggests a horse in good health and in regular work.

She is trained by J P Dempsey out of Carbury in County Kildare, a yard that has sent out 16 winners already this season — a solid, productive operation. Her most regular partner in the saddle is Shane Fitzgerald, who has ridden her in 11 of her races. Together they have won once from those 11 runs, roughly 1 in every 11, which is a fair reflection of how competitive her races tend to be rather than any criticism of the combination.

Missus Beeton is not a horse who wins often — but she is a horse who wins at the right moments, and who clearly saves something for herself when the ground gets soft. At eight, with two wins in her last six races and a Leopardstown victory on her recent record, she is running as well as she ever has. If you see rain in the forecast and her name on a racecard, she is well worth a second look.
