Miraflores

Recent form tells the same story. In its last six races, Miraflores has finished 11th, 9th, 10th, 6th, and 7th — never threatening to win, never quite close enough to earn a placing. It raced just a day ago and continues to be campaigned regularly by trainers Rachel Cook and John Bridger at their Liphook yard in Hampshire. The pair have had seven winners this season from their broader string, so they are getting results elsewhere in the stable, but Miraflores is not one of them. Kieran O'Neill, the horse's most frequent rider, has partnered it in five races without a win, which reflects the broader pattern of underperformance. For a horse now into its fourth year, the absence of even a single win suggests it may have simply found its level at or below Class 6, where it does not have the ability to compete competitively.
