Minella Buoy

The recent form is encouraging in its consistency. Over the last six races, Minella Buoy has placed twice (both second-place finishes) and finished sixth twice, with a couple of mid-field efforts mixed in. That kind of regular placement, even without a win, shows the horse is competitive and belongs in the races it is running in. The trainer, John J Nallen, has a small but productive yard — five winners sent out already this season — so the horse is in a working stable that knows how to get horses to the line. With Minella Buoy last seen just a day ago, it is clearly being kept active and given plenty of opportunities to break through. Patience and consistent racing at this level often pays off for horses that show the form this one does.
