Mind The Steps
Mind The Steps is a five-year-old with just one race under its belt so far, finishing eighth on its only outing 24 days ago. It has yet to win or place, but with just a single race to its name, there is almost nothing to read into that — every horse has to start somewhere, and one run tells you very little about where a horse might end up.Based on TrackLab's analysis

Our model's view, based on this horse's career and recent runs
Trainer Norman Lee has sent out one winner this season, which suggests a small, quietly operating yard rather than a high-volume stable. That is not a criticism — plenty of patient, smaller operations produce horses that surprise people once they find their feet. The key question with Mind The Steps is simply whether that debut outing has taught the team something useful, and whether the next run looks any different as a result.
With so little to go on, Mind The Steps is essentially a blank page. One run, one eighth-place finish, and a trainer still building momentum this season. Worth keeping an eye on, but there is nothing yet to suggest this is a horse ready to make waves.
