That kind of reliability matters. It tells you this is a horse that tries, that rarely has a bad day, even when the win doesn't come. His most recent form reads 2–1–2, which is about as consistent as it gets: three runs, three top-two finishes. The one blip was a 14th earlier in that sequence, but he has clearly put that behind him.

The latest win came at Galway in October 2025, and it was a significant one. He's currently on a break, and Oliver has been straightforward about why: Millforce wants fast, dry ground to show his best, so the team is simply waiting for the right conditions before pointing him at races over three miles. That kind of patience — not forcing a horse into unsuitable conditions just to keep him busy — is often what separates good yards from great ones. When the ground dries out and the longer trips come around, Millforce looks like exactly the sort of horse to make the most of it.
