Midnight Ace is a 2-year-old still finding its feet in racing. The horse made its debut just over a week ago and finished outside the top three, which is hardly unusual for a first-time runner — most horses need a race or two to understand what they are doing. Trained by
Ciaran Murphy at Mullingar in County Westmeath, Midnight Ace will be hoping to learn from that run and pick things up next time out. Murphy's yard has had a solid season so far, sending out 18 winners, so the horse is in a setup with plenty of momentum behind it.
