The form reads as the story of a horse struggling to recapture what it showed on debut. Just one win from six races across the entire career represents a modest return, though the couple of places suggest Michael's Well can put in a decent performance on its day. Eddie and Patrick Harty's Curragh yard has been sending out winners at a decent clip this season, so the horse has at least ended up in a capable operation — but Michael's Well itself will need to show real improvement to become a regular in the winner's circle. It raced only a day ago, so the campaign continues, but without another win soon, this one risks becoming a perpetual nearly-horse.
