Merciless
Merciless is a 3-year-old still searching for a breakthrough. The horse has run six times without a win or a place finish, and the recent form tells a story of someone getting closer to the mark but not quite nailing it yet. In the last six outings, there have been some encouraging fifth and fourth-place finishes — the kind of runs that suggest the horse understands what it is supposed to do — but nothing has quite clicked into a winning performance.Based on TrackLab's analysis

Our model's view, based on this horse's career and recent runs
Based at Josh Halley's yard in Fethard, County Tipperary, Merciless is part of a small operation that has been selective with its runners this season, with just two winners sent out so far. At three years old, there is still time for this horse to find its level and get off the mark, but the fact that it remains winless after half a dozen races means it is competing at a level where the margin between winning and finishing fourth is genuinely tight. The recent fourth and fifth places show potential, but potential alone does not win races.
