Trained by Edward Smyth-Osbourne out of Upper Lambourn in Berkshire, Medyg operates mainly at Class 5 level, which is where most horses at this stage of development do their learning. The yard has sent out 8 winners this season, so there's clearly ability in the operation — the question is when Medyg's turn will come. The most recent run was just yesterday, which tells you this is a horse being kept busy and given every opportunity to click.

The recent form figures of 8-9-4-5-2 read in reverse tell a mildly encouraging story — that second on debut was the highlight, and while there have been a couple of mid-pack finishes, the horse hasn't been disgracing itself in terrible fashion. A fourth is in there, which at least suggests the ability to get competitive on the right day. Medyg is young, active, and still finding its way — sometimes that's all a profile needs to say.
