Harry Cobden has ridden Matterhorn for the bulk of his career, and their record together is exceptional: six wins from fourteen races, a 43 percent win rate that far outpaces his overall statistics. When Cobden is in the saddle, this horse performs at another level entirely. At Taunton, Matterhorn has become a specialist, winning two of his three races at the track—a course record that speaks to how comfortable he is there.
