Matin Midi Et Soir
There is not much of a British or Irish racing record to go on yet with Matin Midi Et Soir — just one run, no wins, a single placed finish — but the backstory makes this four-year-old well worth keeping an eye on. Before arriving at
Henry De Bromhead's yard in Knockeen, Co Waterford, he won a Grade 3 juvenile hurdle race in France for trainer Francois Nicolle. A Grade 3 is a high-level race, and winning one as a young horse in France is exactly the kind of form that gets serious yards interested.

Our model's view, based on this horse's career and recent runs
De Bromhead has been open about his enthusiasm for the horse, describing the team as "very excited" to have him, which is the sort of language trainers use carefully. This is a yard that has sent out 107 winners already this season — a genuinely prolific operation — so when they say they are excited about a new arrival, it tends to mean something. Matin Midi Et Soir raced just one day ago, so he is clearly active and finding his feet in a new country and a new training environment.
The honest summary is this: one run, no wins yet in Britain or Ireland, but a proper French pedigree of form behind him and one of the sharpest yards in the sport now pointing him in the right direction. He is very much one to watch.
