The stable has sent out 42 winners this season alone, which tells you this is an operation that knows how to get horses to perform. Being part of a yard firing at that rate matters — good horses tend to get good opportunities.

The record of zero wins from five races is straightforward, but two placed efforts from the last two outings is at least a step in the right direction. Masterfield raced just yesterday, so the yard are clearly keeping the horse busy and looking for opportunities. Whether that first win comes soon will depend on finding the right race — but the direction of travel, at least, is pointing upward.
