The most recent win came at Ripon on 28 May 2026, just six weeks ago, and Marajito raced again only yesterday — so this is very much a horse in the thick of a busy season. That Ripon victory followed a first career win at Redcar back in June 2025, meaning the two wins are separated by nearly a year of racing. In between, there were some struggles: those two results of 14th and 12th in the recent sequence show a horse that can have an off day. But the rebound to a win and then a fifth and a sixth suggests Marajito bounces back without holding a grudge.

The yard behind the horse is Tim Easterby's operation in Great Habton, North Yorkshire — a serious, high-volume training base that has sent out 128 winners already this season. When a stable is firing at that rate, it tends to know when a horse is ready to run and when to point it at the right race. Jockey David Allan does most of the steering, and between them they have won 1 of their 6 races together — roughly 1 in 6, or about 17%, which is a decent return for a partnership still finding its rhythm.

Marajito typically competes at Class 5, which is the entry-level end of the sport in Britain — the races where horses are finding their feet or carving out a niche. Winning 1 from 7 at that level, around 1 in every 7 races, is modest but honest. This is not a horse destined for the big occasions, but it is one that turns up, tries hard, and occasionally delivers. In a sport full of expensive disappointments, there is something to be said for that.
