The partnership with jockey Sean Quinlan is the curious footnote here. Quinlan has ridden Maggies Boy nine times — that's half the horse's entire career — and they are yet to win together. Nine rides, zero wins. That's not necessarily a criticism of either horse or jockey, but it does suggest the combination hasn't quite clicked yet.
