At three years old, this is exactly the right time to be finding out what a horse can do. Trainer C Ferland operates out of France, and it's been a modest season for the yard so far — just one winner to their name. That's a small sample, but it does mean that when Ferland sends a horse across to run, there's every reason to think it's ready. Yards that aren't firing on all cylinders tend to be selective about where they place their horses, and a debut runner represents genuine intent. Whether Lyneham has the ability to match that intent is the question only the race itself can answer.
