Bred by Space Traveller out of a mare by Singspiel, she carries an interesting mix of speed and stamina in her bloodline. Space Traveller was a sharp, quick horse, while Singspiel was a high-class middle-distance performer who won at the very top level — so there is plenty of quality threaded through her pedigree, even if how it will express itself on the track remains to be seen.
She is trained by William Knight at Newmarket, one of the most famous training centres in the world, where horses are put through their paces on some of the best gallops in Britain. Knight has had a productive season, sending out 28 winners, which tells you this is a yard in good form and clearly doing things right. A horse leaving that stable on debut is as well-prepared as it can reasonably be.
Beyond that, there is simply not much more to say — and that honesty is part of what makes a debut runner compelling. Lunar Blossom is a clean slate.
