Her recent form makes for difficult reading. The last six runs read 8-7-11-14-5-5 from most recent back, meaning she has finished towards the back of the field more often than not. Those two fifth-place finishes earlier in the sequence were her best efforts of the run, but since then the numbers have gone in the wrong direction — an 11th and a 14th suggesting she has found things tough in her latest races.
What keeps the profile from being entirely bleak is the yard she calls home. Trainer W McCreery operates out of Rathbride in Co Kildare and has sent out 19 winners already this season — a yard clearly in good form. When a trainer is hitting their targets with other horses, it at least suggests the problem is not a lack of care or preparation. Whether Little Miss P can find the improvement needed to join that winner's list is the open question.
She raced just one day ago, so she is very much a horse in active campaign. Sometimes horses take time to find their feet, and at four years old there is theoretically still time for a penny to drop. But on what we have seen so far — zero wins from nine races, with form that has dipped rather than improved — she will need to show something new the next time the gates open.
