What makes this worth watching, perhaps, is the timing. Little Mayhem raced just yesterday, so it is very much an active, current campaigner. At five years old, it still has time to develop, and plenty of horses take longer than others to find their feet.
The trainer, David Thompson, operates out of Bolam in County Durham and has sent out 9 winners already this season — a yard that clearly knows how to get a horse ready to win. The question is whether Little Mayhem can become one of them. Right now, it hasn't given many reasons for optimism, but with an active yard behind it and races still to come, the story isn't finished yet.
