At races between a mile and six furlongs and two miles, he has won once from six attempts—a respectable 17% success rate at those longer trips—suggesting that when conditions and company align, something clicks. His debut win came at Killarney in July 2023, and he has been competing steadily ever since, neither brilliant nor completely out of his depth.

The jockey-horse partnership tells its own story. Mr J L Gleeson has ridden Liberated Light in 23 races and won three of them—a 13% win rate together, noticeably better than the horse's overall win rate. That kind of pattern suggests understanding between rider and horse, a familiarity that occasionally translates into an extra length when it counts.
