That turnaround is unusual and suggests either that the win has given the trainer confidence to strike immediately, or that the yard spotted an opportunity they couldn't pass up. The most recent outing shows a horse still finding its feet: a fourth-place finish, then a third, a second, and finally that winning run. The pattern is one of gradual improvement rather than dramatic form, which at 3 years old is exactly what you want to see. There is room for this horse to go places, and with a trainer who understands how to build momentum, Liberate may yet deliver something worth watching.
