Those early months of 2025 were rough, with the horse losing his way entirely. But there's been a shift. At 1m3f to 1m4f, his optimal distance, Letsbefrank suddenly looks like a different animal: he's won 2 of his last 3 races over that trip, a win rate of two-thirds. His most recent victory came eight weeks ago at Pontefract, where jockey Paul Mulrennan noted the horse had been mapped out for this race since the winter — a sign Goldie sees something in him worth nursing along.

Hamilton Park holds a particular charm for this horse. He's won twice there from six races, making it a course where he consistently finds his stride. The true test will be whether the improved form of recent weeks continues, or whether Letsbefrank drifts back into the frustrating inconsistency that has defined much of his career. At six years old and only recently back to winning ways, time may be running short to prove he's worth the investment.
