Leonards Choice

Leonards Choice is a five-year-old who has raced three times without winning or placing in the money. The horse's most recent outing came 79 days ago, suggesting a short break from the track. In those three races, the finishing positions tell a steady story: 12th, 18th, and 21st. These are not the numbers of a horse making a mark at the level it has been tested at, but also not the complete washout they might first appear — most horses run without winning, and the fact that Leonards Choice is still racing suggests the yard believe there is something worth pursuing. Whether a change of track, a longer rest, or different race conditions might suit this horse better remains to be seen.
