Candy's team has sent out 9 winners already this season, which tells you this is a yard that knows how to get horses ready to perform. The question is whether Leia Antilles can start translating that preparation into something on the track. She raced just a day ago, so she's firmly in the mix and clearly being kept busy — patience hasn't run out yet.

The finishing positions tell a consistent story, if not an encouraging one: she's been beaten plenty and hasn't yet hinted at a big run lurking around the corner. But 3-year-olds can be slow burners, and yards like Candy's don't persist with horses that have nothing to offer. Worth watching to see if a change of conditions or a drop in the level of competition unlocks something different.
