Leeward
Five races, zero wins, zero places — Leeward has yet to trouble the judge in any meaningful way, finishing no better than sixth across all its outings to date. For a 3-year-old still learning the game, that kind of record is not unusual, but it does paint a picture of a horse that is yet to find its stride.Based on TrackLab's analysis

Our model's view, based on this horse's career and recent runs
The recent form figures of 6-11-8-7-9 tell their own story. Those are mid-to-rear finishes across the board, and the trend is not obviously improving. That said, Leeward raced just yesterday, so the yard are clearly not losing faith — the horse is still being actively campaigned, which suggests the team believes there is something to work with.
The trainer is J P Murtagh, operating out of Coolaghknock Glebe in County Kildare, and the yard has been in strong form this season with 53 winners already on the board. That is a busy, successful operation, and horses trained there tend to be well-prepared. Whether Leeward can eventually repay that confidence remains to be seen, but it is in good hands as it continues to search for a first career win.
