Lady Youmzain

Her career took off with a win at Beverley on 17 September 2025, and she struck again more recently at Pontefract on 21 April 2026. That second victory came five months ago, which is a long gap, but her last five races tell the story of a horse that has continued to run well: seventh, second, third, first, and first. In other words, two wins in those five starts, with placings either side of each victory. The most recent run was just a day ago, so she is actively racing right now and the team is clearly keen to keep her competitive.

She is trained by Kevin Ryan, who runs the yard at Hambleton in North Yorkshire. Ryan's operation has been firing on all cylinders this season, sending out 45 winners, so she is in the care of someone who knows how to get the best from his horses. At three years old, Lady Youmzain still has development ahead of her, and if she can maintain that 40% win rate or build on it, she could become a very interesting prospect indeed.
