Lady Phillips made her racing debut just over a week ago, finishing second in a two-year-old event. It was a solid introduction for the young horse — second place on a first outing is respectable, though of course the goal is always to win.
Ralph Beckett, her trainer at Kimpton in Hampshire, has had a strong season with 107 winners from his yard already, so she is in capable hands. The trainer's track record suggests Lady Phillips will get every chance to develop and improve as she gains more experience on the track.
