Lady Margret

She competes mainly in Class 5 races—the lower tier of British racing—but even at that level, success has not arrived. In four Class 5 races, she has yet to finish in the money. This suggests she may be better suited to different conditions or distances than those she has encountered so far, or that racing simply may not be her game. Her trainer, Tony Carroll, runs a large and successful operation from Cropthorne in Worcestershire; his yard has produced 136 winners this season alone. The scale of that success underlines how difficult it is to turn any horse into a consistent winner, even in a well-run stable.

Lady Margret remains in active training and is still being given chances to improve. Whether she will ever win a race remains to be seen, but for now she is a horse still searching for her moment.
