The seven-year-old is trained by Conor O'Dwyer at his yard in Friarstown, Co. Kildare, an operation that has sent out 4 winners already this season. Her first career win came at Gowran Park back in May 2022, and she returned to that same track to win as recently as April 2026 — just two months ago. So this is not a fluke or a distant memory. The Gowran connection is current, live, and worth paying attention to.

Away from that favourite venue, the picture is more complicated. Her recent form reads 12th, 12th, 11th, then a win, then 6th, then a blank — and that sequence tells you she can go missing for long stretches before suddenly producing the goods. She tends to perform best over distances of seven furlongs to a mile, winning 3 of 19 races at those trips, and she goes particularly well when the ground is normal rather than wet or very dry. Her most regular partner, jockey Cian Horgan, has yet to get her into the winner's enclosure across 9 rides together, though the April 2026 win shows she still has the ability to deliver on the right day.

At 40 races and still racing — she ran just yesterday — Lady Arwen is a seasoned campaigner who knows her own mind.
